FORMAMET^® EQUACAST^® ALLOY 

FormaMet^®, your die bronze solution, is an aluminum bronze cold working die alloy used for the drawing or forming of Stainless steel, low carbon steel and other materials. 

FormaMet is manufactured using a proprietary manufacturing process called EquaCast^®, which gives a superior fine grain structure and uniform mechanical properties throughout the entire cross section of the material. The properties include: 

• High hardness 
• High Abrasion resistance and high adhesive wear resistance 
• Very low coefficient of friction 
• Very high microstructure; homogeneity and isotrophy 
• Excellent polishabilty 
• No additional heat treatments required
